Two ways to book

Book a minor procedure directly, or start with a consultation

Minor, non-surgical procedures can be done in a single visit. If you would rather be assessed first, you can start with a consultation instead.

One visit

Book a minor procedure

If you already know which minor procedure you need, book a procedure visit and have it done in one appointment. Dr. Richardson examines you at the start and carries it out the same day when it is appropriate. If it is not, your visit simply stays a consultation.

Book a minor procedure
Assessed first

Start with a consultation

Not sure which procedure you need, or would rather be seen first? Book a consultation. A suitable minor procedure can still be done at the same visit if Dr. Richardson confirms it is appropriate.

Book a consultation

Surgery is always planned with you after a consultation, and is never booked directly from this website.

After you book

Your plan is confirmed in person

Booking holds a consultation, not a surgery. What happens next is the same for everyone, and it is what keeps care safe.

Step 01

You are assessed

Dr. Richardson examines you and reviews your imaging, pathology and history at the visit.

Step 02

You discuss the options

He explains what is going on and what the choices are, in plain language, in English or French.

Step 03

Your plan and any quote follow

If surgery is the right step, the plan and a written quote are prepared after the visit, once confirmed with you.

Why it works this way. A surgical quote depends on the exact procedure, and that is decided with you at the consultation. No surgery is priced or booked beforehand. The tools used during booking only organize your information; they do not diagnose or recommend treatment, and all clinical decisions are made by Dr. Richardson and his team.

For referring providers

Refer a patient with confidence

Family physicians, dermatologists, dentists and specialists can refer directly. Your patient is seen by a subspecialist, and you are kept informed through the course of care.

Send a referral
  • Direct subspecialty access for head and neck concerns
  • Clear handling of thyroid, salivary, skin cancer and neck masses
  • Patients you refer can note the referral when they book
  • Communication back to you as care proceeds
Common questions

Before you book

Do I have to call or email to book?
No. Booking is online and takes a few minutes. You choose in person or video, share your concern, and can upload records during booking. There is no back-and-forth required to get started.
Do I need to be in Montreal?
No. Video consultations are available across Canada and internationally. In person visits are in Montreal, and the clinic helps coordinate timing if you are travelling for an appointment or surgery.
Do I need a referral?
No. You can book a consultation directly. If you do have a referral from another physician, you can note it during booking and upload the letter with your records.
Will RAMQ or my insurance cover this?
Dr. Richardson is a non-participating physician, so RAMQ will not reimburse these fees. Private insurance varies, and you would deal with your insurer directly. The consultation fee is shown before you book.
Can I be seen by video?
Yes. Video consultations are available, including for patients outside Quebec and internationally. You choose in person or video when you book.
How much will surgery cost?
A surgical quote depends on the exact procedure, which is decided at your consultation. A written quote is prepared after your visit, once the plan is confirmed. Surgery is never priced or booked beforehand.
I am coming from out of province or abroad. Can you help?
Yes. The practice regularly sees patients from across Canada and internationally. A video consultation is often the first step, and the clinic can help coordinate timing for an in person visit or surgery.
Is my concern something this practice treats?
The areas treated are listed under what we treat. If your concern is not there, book a consultation and the clinic will review it, or point you toward the right care.
Does AI make decisions about my care?
No. AI tools may help organize your information and prepare administrative summaries. Dr. Richardson and his team make all clinical decisions.
